The Trio’s other appearances include performances at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Cambridge, Massachusetts; Concerts On The Island in Newport, Rhode Island; Mechanics Hall in Worcester, Massachusetts; and countless other venues. In celebration of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the John F. Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., the Trio was selected to represent the state of Rhode Island in concert at the Center. The Trio sponsors series of concerts annually in the New England area. The Solati Trio was invited to participate in one of the largest classical music festivals in South America, the XII Rio International Cello Encounter in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Over a two week period, the Trio performed concerts to enthusiastic audiences and gave Master Classes to the many talented music students attending the conference. Sponsored by the Master Musicians Collective, the Trio performed at Boston’s Jordan Hall and Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall in New York City, where they performed many contemporary compositions written for and dedicated to them by MMC composers including William Thomas McKinley, Greg Bullen, Peter Kelly, Romeo Melloni, John Hojnacki, Elaine Ericson, and Greg Naeger. Subsequent to these performances the Trio recorded the compositions of Mssrs. McKinley, Melloni, and Bullen along with the Piano Trio No. 2 by Dmitry Shostakovich. This compact disc appears under the MMC label. The noted American composer, William Thomas McKinley, wrote a Triple Concerto for the Trio and orchestra entitled Again Silent Whispers which the Trio performed and recorded in the Czech Republic with the Moravian Philharmonic. As a result of the extraordinary reception to the concert, the Trio was invited back to the Czech Republic to perform in concerts throughout the country, culminating in a final gala concert in the prestigious Martinu Hall in Prague. A Triple Concerto by Gama Skupinsky, written expressly for the Solati Trio, was recorded in Bratislava, Slovakia, with the Radio Orchestra. A compact disc of this composition was released on the MMC label. The Solati Trio has been featured at distinguished academic institutions including Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts; Brown University, Providence, Rhode Island; the Deerfield Academy, Deerfield, Massachusetts; and Washington and Lee University in Lexington, Virginia.
